MSU Hosts Midwest Quantum Collaboratory Entanglement Conference
Quantum science and collaboration converge at FRIB

Michigan State University hosted the third annual “Entanglement” Conference of the Midwest Quantum Collaboratory (MQC) on August 5-6, 2024. The meeting was held primarily at the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB).
With over 200 registrants, the 2024 meeting was the largest MQC gathering to date, including over 100 attendees from MSU and representatives from 21 external companies and government agencies. Programming consisted of invited lectures, poster sessions, breakout groups, panel discussions, and town-hall meetings.
Founded in 2021, the Midwest Quantum Collaboratory is a partnership between MSU, the University of Michigan, and Purdue University. Its mission is to accelerate research and collaboration in quantum computing (QC) and quantum information science and engineering (QISE) across the Midwest.
The annual “Entanglement” conference brings together leaders from academia, industry, and government to explore two interwoven themes: advancing new frontiers in entanglement-based applications and strengthening the collaborative “entanglement” among universities, industry partners, and funding agencies to drive the next generation of QISE innovation.
